This is the second edition of The Bartender's Pocketbook for Alcohol-Free Drinks by Lionel Hartley, replacing the 1969 Edition published by The New Zealand White Ribbon Digest.
The changes legislated in New Zealand by the Metric Advisory Board to the national measurement system from imperial to metric has made redundant the first edition which used only imperial measurements.
This metric edition has the same 154 recipes, the only change is to the measurements, that have been changed to metric and in some cases rounded off for practicality.
These recipes cut out the most expensive ingredient — the alcohol.
